FINE VIKING WEDDING RING, SIZE 9

Gilt bronze, size 9. Broad, 4.8mm band with raised edges and recess flanking the broad lattice work medial. Made with a core filling the inside which distributed the flowing metal and allowed for slower cooling. The core was then laboriously removed by hand and the inside of the ring was polished. Remnants of the core are evident inside the ring.  Excellent preservation with the 24karat gold surface restored for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword.
