The Viking period through early Crusades. Gilt bronze, size 8. Rounded face 3.8mm width band with thickened bottom in the Roman taste and as carried on through the Dark Ages. The shoulders are flared and engraved with floral motifs. The faceted bezel of inverted pyramidal form. The top is finely engraved with a bordered four-point star of Bethlehem in a radiant surround. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.103.  Good quality and exceptional preservation. A charming wearable example with the 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
