Used by the Saracens defending the Holy Land against the Crusaders. See Nicolle # 691. Forged iron of classic form with thick flat kite shaped point with flared shoulder on tapered tang. A flesh cutting arrow capable of penetrating the leather and textile armor of the Crusaders. 2 1/8” (2.13”) total length. Recovered from the Levant Battlefields with distinct impact to the point. Professionally conserved excavated condition.
