JAPANESE LACQUERED BOWL OWAN, MEIJI PERIOD, 1867-1912 - Fagan Arms

Purchased at Schindler’s Antiques, Charleston, about 1985. See Echoes of Glory, p.213. About 2 ½” x 3 5/8”. Folded green metal channel edge enclosing surface soiled mirror with reflective surface somewhat degraded. The back with printed card depicting a clock face on checkered ground. Remnants of strings for hanging. Untouched with great character.
