Gilt bronze, over ¾” (0.80”) width of swelled, cusped form pierced with a similar heart. A heart within a heart! Hound’s tooth border enclosing foliate field. Transitional form, dating to the period of conversion to Christianity retaining the traditional spirit of the Viking warrior, embodied by the heart. Made by the open face mold technique. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on an 18” gilt sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
