850-1050 AD. Exceptionally heavy and somewhat crude suggesting provincial manufacture. 2.47” inside dimension and 3.28" outside. Suitable for wear on the wrist or forearm and possibly made for a Viking woman warrior. Cast bronze, C form, circular section tapering slightly from the center to the terminals. Surface degradation from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
