About ¾” (0.74”) width of broad crescent form with baluster tips representing Sol the sun and Mani the moon. Both sides bordered. One with addorsed leaf shaped figures. The other divided horizontally with a wavy figure above, perhaps representing mountains. Below is cabalistic ciphers possibly identifying the figures. These are more likely mythological (spiritual) references, than actual physical. As expert navigators, celestial bodies provided guidance and took on supernatural identities. This amulet was intended to invoke the help of and praise the glory of the solar system, represented by its two most prominent and influential bodies.
