Made by the open face mold technique, cast in the full round. Elegant heart, just under ¾” (0.71”) width with nubbed shoulders. Deeply cusped and pierced with a heart. A heart within a heart! The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface textured from burial.
