MASSIVE VIKING WEDDING RING 9TH-11TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 8

Gilt bronze, made by the interior core casting method. Low rounded face. 8.4mm width, size 8. Cast with a central core to distribute the metal and heat. The core then laboriously removed by hand. Significant remnants of the core remaining here, likely to accomplish the desired ring size.  Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored.  Surface textured from burial. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
