C.866-1067 AD. Danelaw England. Finely forged iron, 4 1/2" length. Triangular point with a low medial ridge on both sides. The tapered socket with a butted seam. Excellent excavated condition and professionally conserved. A substantial point capable of penetrating the light leather and wool armor jerkins of the period. Suitable for the battlefield or for civilian raiding.
