Iron hilt with heavy tapered cross guard and down turned shell guard. Natural stag antler grip with iron base ferrule. 16 ¼” slightly down curved wedge section blade. Black leather scabbard with iron throat mount including frog stud. Tip mount lacking. Well worn. The leather sound with good seam. Hunting sword form which was used by civilians for personal protection. This simple functional example was surely used for the latter.
