Gilt bronze, 2.3mm deeply rounded band flaring to the middle. Broad angled shoulders above, supporting the bezel. Type identified as Guiraud type 2. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.61. Rectangular bezel with pairs of angled nubs air spurs top and bottom. Probably part of a clearer motif originally, now worn and indistinguishable. Surface worn and texture from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored, for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
