Of characteristic form and workmanship, with 4 ¼” thick s.e. blade, broad fullered one side and flat the other. Skillful tool finish. Two piece scale grips with bone face and horn back both with inset metal piques. Finely made scabbard with iron back, the face and top mount finely pierced in foliage with gold detail and gold overlay to the top (some wear). Black reptile skin medial. Great age character with the gritty feel associated with early Tibetan weapons.
