Edo Period, before 1868. Fine example, 38 ½” length with cane haft, horn nock and brown duck anterior vane fletching. The fletch area with the owner’s name in gold. Iconic double point, each medially ridged and sharpened both edges. These have been claimed to be for rope or bow string cutting, to decapitate birds in the hunt, maiming horses legs and others.
