19th century. Large proportions for two hand sue. 28 1/2" d.e. blade tapered with obliquely angled point and staggered inset brass studs. Bronze hilt mounts, the pommel as dragon like intertwined foliage, and the guard as a mythological bat face among clouds. Grip with woven tape wrap and two wrist thongs. Grip wrap with surface wear but complete and no damage. Rarely encountered in this length.
