Early 20th century. 5 1/2” wedge section shallow clipped point blade chiseled one side with a deity and the other with the temple complex at Angkor Wat. Black horn grip with white metal inlay and further incised decoration. Wood scabbard with white metal inset decoration, the front with an opening to show the temple. Well known earlier, the restoration of Angkor Wat began in 1908 and it is likely that its image is on this knife as an expression of historical pride which surged at that time.
