VICTORIAN BLACKJACK

Classic example of the short type used by muggers and crimps. Sometimes called a slap jack as it was used clandestinely to knock out an unsuspecting victim with a single closed fist down stroke. 7 ½” length “dog bone” shape with one end padded and the other weighted. Two piece leather cover joined with baseball stitch. A short segment with running stitch repair but no damage to the leather. Well-worn from considerable use.
