ROMAN LEGIONARY’S SWORD BELT TERMINAL, 2nd-3rd CENTURY AD

Bronze, tear-shaped with a stirrup form end. At the time, legionary’s sword belts had split ends with two terminals. This example is just about 1 3/8” long and is marked with a dissected saltire, possibly indicating that the soldier was a Christian which would put it during the early conversion period.
