Drum form, 4" length. Cylindrical body with V spring on sliding shackle. The case now incomplete from burial degradation, is extraordinarily intricately forged with raised ladder like panels to the sides and picket spine to the top. Vikings captured, sold and kept slaves. Portable locks such as this were used for the transport of slaves to market.
