Probably English. C.1300-1500 AD. Bronze, over 1 1/2” height, oval, with foliate incising, perhaps representing a tree armorial device. Heavy bronze with separately applied back clip to attach to the reins of the horse. Made by the lost wax process with the detail hand finished. Good preservation for the period.
