14th-15th century. Lead cylinder just over 1/2” in diameter, the ends depressed and cut roughly to provide cutting edges. Used both on the battlefield and in siege warfare. Found in Bavaria (Lautertal Valley) in the 1980s and mounted with the original brown ink label SCHLEUDERBLEI I14/15 Jh. The metal detector finds of the 1980s are now all but dried up on the market.
