Just under 1” diameter (0.95”) pewter or other white metal. Plain slightly rounded front with conical back loop base (loop lacking) to accommodate thick coat fabric. A civilian button used on a hand sewn officers coat. Purchased at a “relic shack” outside the Gettysburg battlefield in the late 1960’s.
