Tea spoon, 5 5/8” length of delicate proportions. The end with monogram F C and the reverse with maker’s name J SHOEMAKER (Joseph Shoemaker, Philadelphia, active 1785-1829.) Found in Grosse Pointe Michigan, together with our B5226 inscribed Cadillac, and likely descended through the family of Antoine de la Cadillac, founder of Detroit in 1701. Worth research.
