Good old precolonial example with 9 3/4” well forged and finished blade. Shaped wood hilt with brass mounts including engraved pommel crest and base mount. Brass scabbard, the face decorated in relief and engraved. Two small dents but the curved tip, often buckled, in fine order. Side lugs with large suspension rings. The hilt base with old crack. Great age character and dating to the 19th century (probably mid) before colonial ambitions. Honest fighting example.
