Classic form with 10" double edged blade terminating in opposing hook tips used to handle the dismembered body parts which were sold individually. See the 1890 account by Glave who witnessed the process. Wood hilt with flared base and expanded pommel for optimum grip. Finely forged blade with black forged finish and bright edges and engraved triangular panel. The hilt lightly encrusted with the residue of its gory function. Ex: Baptist Missionary Society collection, collected about 1890.
