Chicopee MASS. That address was used only before 1881 after which the Ames Sword Company was split off. Beautiful silver scabbard with its original suspension chains. Hand engraved with rococo foliage, cross and crown, motto and red enameled cross. The back marked Ames Mfg Co Chicopee MASS. Fine early example and the only silver hilt/scabbard example we have seen.
