CELTIC RING POMMEL KNIFE 3RD-1ST CENTURY BC

Forged iron, 8 ½” length with slightly curved back evolving to the broad grip with scrolled ring pommel. Curved edge and acutely angled point. The thickness of the blade indicates a fighting knife and not a work knife which would have been thicker and show evidence of sharpening. Excellent example of a Celtic cut and thrust weapon of the mid La Tene Period.
