The period of the Roman conquest of England and Scotland. Forged iron, 4 ⅜” length, straight measure. Elegantly tapered blade (thin for slashing) with slightly dropped point. Curved tang, originally wrapped in leather with ring pommel. As well, the narrow profile made it a fine thrusting weapon. Optimizing both functions, this example is the Celtic fighting knife in its iconic developed form. Professionally conserved condition.
