The Imperial Period. Forged iron, 6 3/8” length with well formed conical socket which extends through the tip as a medial. The leaf shaped cutting planes extending to both sides. Well preserved with minimal edge loss. Good excavated condition. These hand lances were thrown in the intermediate battle, before the melee, and largely lost.
