PRUSSIAN M.1852 CAVALRY OFFICER’S SABER

1852 pattern as specified as opposed to the 1872 modification incorporating a quill back blade. Pierced iron hilt with frosty gray patina and applied silver honor, a starburst with motto SUUM CUIQUE. Silver wire wrapped ray skin grip. 31 5/8” broad fullered blade decorated with foliage, military trophies and arms of Prussia in original preservative. Maker’s mark to the ricasso. Iron scabbard with nearly all original blued finish.
