Edo Period, C.1750-1800. 34 7/8” length. Cane shaft with self nock. Willow leaf (yanagiha) form point. Brown goose fletching with just remnants intact. The fletch area gilt. Black silk (?) wrap to the ends. Insect damage to the head end of the cane. Well preserved example of a war arrow made to penetrate samurai armor.
