Heavy iron example, 27 1/4” length with mushroom butt solid iron haft. Iron head with angular double point showing remnants of silver decoration. Elongated pyramidal fore spike. Untouched with brown surface rust, easily removed if desired. A little white paint spatter indicating it was wall displayed, likely in a manor house, where the ceilings were periodically repainted over candle smoke stains.
