Late 18th-early 19th century. 16 ½” length with 7 ½” barrel, finely chiseled in high relief with foliage, crossed cannon sand face on stipple ground. Bead front sight in radial splay. Raised ringed muzzle. Fine beveled edge lock with swan neck cock. The plate engraved with a spurious European signature. Saddle ring to the side plate Walnut full stock profusely inlaid with brass tape (“wire”) and leaf designs. Foliate decorated brass furniture and bone simulated ramrod. Fine patina with uniform ageing. The metal crisp and the inlay complete.
