The bag of typical colonial form, most usually encountered with wood or bone spouts. The spring cutoff as found on artillery priming horns. See Neumann p.153 #23 middle dated C.1770-1810 and Riling p.364 for further examples as well as near identical detached cutoff spout. Small dent to the spout. The leather in exceptional condition. Buck and ball loads were commonly used during the Revolution and numerous shot pouches with Revolutionary War service are preserved.
