IMPERIAL GERMAN CAVALRY OFFICER’S SWORD, 19TH CENTURY

Brass hilt with lion head pommel and quillon terminal, retains some gold in protected areas. Wire wrapped black composition grip. 35 ¼” curved broad fuller blade in original preservative with large EISENHAUER panel to the left side. (Scattered black oxidation speckles with small areas about 8” from the point with lineal pitting exposing the metal grain). Scabbard with a dent to the left side near the point, retains all its bright plating.  Superior quality example.
