Pattern identical to Neumann 59.PA at Colonial Williamsburg though that example appears to have the point reshaped. This example is exceptional on its original haft with iron base shoe intact. 86 1/2" length. Iron head with triple base projections and elongated acorn form cross guard. Oak or ash haft, skillfully worked to circular section (not turned) with slight surface texture resulting. Long rounded iron base shoe. Excellent with uniform fine patina throughout. Rating among the best of museum specimens.
