Mid-19th century. Completely unmarked. 29 1/2" curved broad fullered blade, bright with original cross polish, a little minor finger rusting and some localized old black oxidation to the extreme tip. Original blade seat. Cast hilt excellent with very light age texture. Leather scabbard (slightly shrunk) with brass mounts retaining remnants of black painted finish. May well have seen Confederate use.
