13 7/8” length, iron, forged with leaf shaped point over rectangular section bolster, each side with a row of chisel raised barbs. The base with an opposing pair. Butted seam conical socket. The bolster with bands of hatching and the point with diagonal tool texturing. Among the vicious of these that we have encountered, produced with vitriolic hatred inspired by religious fanaticism to penetrate a British Red Coat. Probably brought back to England after one of the major battles, probably Omdurman.
