Northern Sudan, Sahara region. Finely made with 7 7/8” wasp-waisted blade chiseled with hatched bands. The hilt with skull crusher pommel. Grip of finely braided leather flanking reptile skin center. Fine relied contoured and tooled leather scabbard with reptile skin throat mounted with braided leather arm loop. Reptile skin base with leather knot terminal. Excellent for the period with fine patina. Worn within the left sleeve for rapid access with the right hand.
