18" curved s.e. blade, rough forged as usually encountered. Surface textured as made with skillfully hammered edges. Hilt and scabbard of characteristic decorated leather with four cut work pendants, central tassel and twisted suspensions with four leather and split cane covered bosses. Shows fine aging and very unusually complete as the attachments tend to be lost. Just the surface of one boss tattered from age and use. African swords made for boys are very rarely encountered.
