Iron hilt of Aurangzebi form (Pant figure 281) with dished pommel and elegantly recurved knuckle bow. The surface brown, evidently turned from blue, with scattered light surface oxidation. 31 ¼” curved wedge section blade with long false edge, smooth with mottled staining and distinct patterning, suggesting watered steel construction. According to Pant, Aurangzeb(1658-1707),  son of Shah Jahan (builder of the Taj Mahal) made improvements to the Delhishahi hilt including enlarging and dishing the pommel and reducing the quillons. This example accords with the Pant example identified as Aurangzebi form, in detail.

For orders totaling $600 or more, our Extended Payment Plan is available to all of our customers. The total is split into 12 equal monthly payments, with the first months payment being required as a deposit.

All payment plans are extended as a courtesy to our customers with no interest or fees.
