Ex: Sir Cecil Armitage Collection, Late 19th century. White metal, 4 7/8” length. Elaborately shaped and chisel decorated handle, with large round bowl. Fine patina and undamaged.  Gold dust was the currency of the slave trade, in which the Ashanti were very active at the time.
