Forged iron, 8 1/2” total length along the curve with curved wedge section blade. Tapered tang with bronze pommel as found on Celtic swords of the period. Stable excavated condition. The curved blade identifies this as a fighting knife and not a work knife. It was designed to inflict slashing wounds resulting from the specific fighting technique with which it was used. Excavated and professionally conserved with Plexiglas display easel and Certificate of Authenticity.
