Tibet or Bhutan, 19th-early 20th century. 5 ¾” thick leaf shaped single edged blade with narrow back fuller, tool finished. Finely shaped faceted bone grip. Silver pommel and sheath decorated in high relief with Buddhist dragon among foliage, red accented flower and fir cone and long necked llama-like creature, all in heavy gold overlay(?). The back with relief scrolling foliage. Beautiful artistry and preservation.
