VIKING WEDDING RING C.900-1050 AD, SIZE 7 3/4

Gilt bronze, size 7 3/4. Broad, 6.3mm band with recessed edges and recess flanking the broad medial, likely originally with a lattice design as often seen. This example is well worn from use and burial with the 24karat gold surface restored for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword.
