Modeled as a broad cusped top heart with scrolling borders and a central trefoil, a favorite Viking motif.  Both this and the natural (un-cusped) form are used profusely in Nordic literature. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface textured from burial.
