VIKING BRACELET 9TH-11TH CENTURY AD

Gilt bronze, about 5/8”, (0.60”) width tapered from the middle to spatulate ends. C form, 2.40” inside dimension. Broad borders flanking a continuous band of angled twist or basket weave, each intersection capturing a single pellet form. Textured from burial and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. See the attached images for the as found, refurbished and surface restored states of this exact bracelet. Hand crafted and worn by a Viking 1000 years ago!
