10th-11th Century AD. Over 1 3/8" in height. All silver is made, not plated. Cast, and chased in detail as the crescent moon with baluster tips representing Sol the sun and Mani the moon. The field within the raised edges is occupied by a radial motif in high relief. Above, a trapezoid with a pelleted field and a low pellet cluster cone. Light wear from use on a modern Sterling silver 18" neck chain for contemporary wear. The only silver example we have encountered. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
