MEDIEVAL SORCERER’S RING, 8TH-11TH CENTURY, SIZE 2 ¾

Broad band, 3.9mm width, with raised edges and deep relief decoration of alternate eye and heart motifs. Both motifs were heavily involved in mysticism from Roman through Viking times. Worn by sorcerers who practiced pagan religion before the spread of Christianity and into the early Christian period. Excellent preservation and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored for modern wear, with certification of authenticity, and jewelry gift boxed.
