FINE ROMAN WOMAN’S RING, 2ND-5TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 10 1/2

This beautiful ring is identified by the Guiraud system as Type 3d, dated as above. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.62. It is gilt bronze size 10 ½ with 1.5mm rounded face band. The shoulders are decorated with high relied transverse crests flanking balusters. The low circular bezel is set with a polychrome speckled cabochon (replaced). The surface has been restored in 24karat gold. It is gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Owing to the slender profile of the band, it could be resized.
